1. The term Swine Flu H1N1 is misleading, WHO is considering naming it Mexican (North American) Flu H1N1
2. The virus is so unusual, never been detected before in human and animals with genetic pieces from 4 different virus sources.
3. Culling of pigs have little help, since the virus transmit human to human. No evident the virus can transmit from human to pig.
4. With raising fatality cases in Mexico, a fatal case in US and 7 and possible more countries with humans tested positive for this virus, WHO has raised the pandemic phase from 4 to 5. Level 6 is a flow blown pandemic characterized by wide spread human infection
5. Antiviral under the generic name – Relenza and Tamiful are effective against this virus

H1N1 is subtype (TYPE A) of swine flu, same type as H1N5 (bird flu)
